In Montessori education, children are introduced to grammar and parts of speech in a fun and interesting way.
Since children are naturally curious and attracted to small objects, they love to touch and move things around, and this helps their understanding of abstract concepts.
These tendencies in children are tapped into in the non-phonetic farm as the children are invited to explore a small model of a farm, complete with miniature animals and objects, and include a series of label cards that match each farm object the child encounters. Through the farm, children can practise building simple combinations of words, labelling the objects and reading the sentences or phrases aloud.
