Montessori Classroom Ambience and Its Effect on Children

Let’s talk about your typical Montessori classroom. What gets your attention? The walls? Fabulous posters? The windows? (Great view). The teacher? (Warm and friendly). How about the seats?  They yell ‘Take a seat, you know you want to…’ That’s great!

Now, let’s talk more about the Montessori classroom. The room just yells ‘Come on in.’  What is it about the atmosphere that is so welcoming? Many parents choose the Montessori Method of education for different reasons. Some for fascination with the Montessori principles, others for the beauty of the school surrounding, and some are particularly attracted to the Montessori classroom.
