Pat was invited to a parents’ conference in her daughter’s school and one of the highlights listed on the invite was ‘peace table.’ This caught her attention because her daughter who is a preschooler is always ‘at war’ with her older sibling and she is clueless about how to resolve their conflicts most times. This has been a source of concern to her. Recently, on their way home from school, she had to intervene a few times to stop them both from hitting each other. Her older daughter had pulled her younger sister out of the middle space between the front seats but the younger one refused to sit. She then hit her and got hit back. So you can imagine her excitement when she saw the topic. She wondered if this will finally be the answer she’s been looking for. I know a lot of parents with young children can relate to this.
